Carnival Week 2!

We are just about through our first theme of our fabulous summer program and it has been so much fun. Monday the kids did sand art. Some classes filled bottles with different colored sand and some actually incorporated it in to their art time by using it as a texture on their art projects for that day. They all turned out fantastic! Tuesday the kids made animal masks and paraded around the school "scaring" Ms. Laura and Ms. Tamara at the front! Music in Motion has been really great about picking songs to go with our theme and it has been awesome to hear the kids singing theme related songs this week. Wednesday was carnival games in the enrichment room and all the kids had a great time doing ring toss, throwing balls in the inflatable frog, bowling, hopscotch and tight rope (balance beam!). Thursday the kids were treated to a Kona Ice! They were able to come out front and choose their own flavor Kona Ice and they even were able to make it themselves. They had a blast! Also, Abrakadoodle (art) had all the children make lions today and that was also wonderful to have theme related art!
We will conclude this week by making funnel cakes. Ms. Olivia is going to help all the kids prepare their funnel cakes in the kitchen. They will all be able to create their own using powdered sugar, strawberries and several different flavors of syrup. WOW! What a week. We have already experienced so much and it's only the first 2 weeks. We are ALL so very excited about each and every theme. Keep an eye out for all of the fantastic Wee Chef special things we have coming up the next 2 weeks.

As always, thank you for sharing your children with us!
