SUMMER IS HERE!

Summer is in full swing and we are already having a blast! We hope everyone loves their new Academy tote and summer t-shirt! Remember every Monday is Academy shirt day!

The first week of summer camp was full of carnival fun. We had a great ice cream sundae bar where the kids were able to come out to the enrichment room and decorate their own sundaes. I think the teachers may have enjoyed this just as much as the children!

Mister Tubby the Clown came out to visit us and brought us lots of laughs. The kids LOVE having him visit.

We concluded the week with our first Friday water play day. The older kids enjoyed an inflatable water slide and some even told us that "it was the best day ever". That is what we live for! The 2's enjoyed water tables, a splash pool and even took time to relax under the umbrellas. Week one was a complete success and we are looking forward to all the exciting things we have planned all summer long.

Parents- please remember that we are a NO medication school and this includes sunscreen as well. Please apply an 8 hr waterproof and sweatproof sunscreen. Neutrogena makes a 70 proof and it works great! You can pick it up at Toys R Us. 

Also, be sure that on Fridays that you are sending you child to school IN their bathing suits. Please pack a change of clothes and the teachers will get everyone changed after morning water play. What we are seeing that works best for girls in one piece suits is wearing a dress. Be sure that your child has water shoes or Crocs on this day as well. Thanks!

Don't forget that we ask you to give us a call if your child is going to be later than 10am each morning. This helps in planning our day and our lunch counts.

As we move through summer you will all notice the great decorations through out the school. The teachers work so very hard each theme to create an outstanding environment for us. Please help us by watching your children and making sure that they are being gentle with decor. Most of the excellent work is only to be looked at. We are so lucky to have such dedicated and talented teachers working at our school and we want to be sure that we are respecting their work. Thank you!
