We’ve been having an out-of-this-world time celebrating Space Week! Our little explorers have been busy discovering, creating, experimenting, and imagining what it would be like to travel through space.
We kicked things off with a colorful “Milky” Way science experiment using milk, soap, and food coloring. The children watched in wonder as the colors swirled and danced across the milk, creating a galaxy-inspired masterpiece while giving us a chance to explore a little science along the way!
Next came our rocket ship building contest! Our budding engineers put their creativity to work designing and building their own rockets. We loved seeing the variety of imaginative ideas and thinking about where each rocket might travel. Congratulations to Michael in our PK2 class for his amazing building!
We also took our space fun outside to the playground, where the children in PS2 enjoyed some colorful chalk creations. From planets to stars, our playground became a space-themed canvas for their creativity.
And we’re not finished yet! For one of our last stops, our space explorers will blast off on a Space Exploration Quest as we journey through all the planets, searching, discovering, and learning along the way. On our way back home, we'll use real life inspiration of what we saw to paint our own planets with balloons!
What a fantastic week of science, creativity, imagination, and exploration! We can’t wait to see where our little astronauts take us next.
