It's a Pirate's life for our Academy kids!

Yo, Ho, Ho - week two of Outdoor Adventures has not disappointed so far. We were so lucky to have had Pirate Mark come by today for story time. He read two really popular Pirate books, How I Became A Pirate by Melinda Long and Pirates Don't Change Diapers by Melinda Long. Pirate Mark also brought his treasure chest and the children were able to learn about and see a real treasure map, treasure coins and several other pirate goodies! Thank you so much Pirate Mark and we look forward to having you visit again. It was a great time!

 We were also so fortunate to have a Girl Scout, Brownie, Eagle Scout and Cub Scout come to our school today and discuss the different badges and how you get them. They sang their pledge song and also made crafts with the kids. We want to give a HUGE thank you to Owen Stamper's (prek 1) mom, Lori for making this all possible. We really appreciate it and the kids had a great time!
