🦷 National Children’s Dental Health Month at AOMM 🎉

February was full of bright smiles and sparkling celebrations at AOMM as we honored National Children’s Dental Health Month! This special month is all about helping children build healthy habits that last a lifetime — and we had so much fun learning how to keep our teeth clean and strong.

🪥 Toothbrush Grab & Go

We kicked off our celebration with a Toothbrush Grab & Go, making sure every child had the tools they need for healthy smiles at home. There’s nothing better than empowering our families with simple resources that make a big difference!

🦷 Special Visit from Snodgrass Dental

We were thrilled to welcome our friends from Snodgrass Dental! Their team shared kid-friendly tips about brushing, flossing, and visiting the dentist. The children loved learning how to take care of their teeth like pros, and our visitors made it engaging, interactive, and fun.

🐊 Brushing Chomp’s Teeth

One of the biggest highlights? Helping Chomp brush his teeth! Our students practiced proper brushing techniques by giving Chomp a good scrub, making sure to reach the front, back, and even those tricky back molars. Hands-on learning like this makes healthy habits stick!

🍎 Apple Marshmallow “Mouth” Snack

Learning is always better with a tasty treat! We made adorable (and delicious!) apple marshmallow “mouth” snacks to model teeth in a fun, creative way. The children loved assembling their smiles — and eating them afterward was a sweet reward.

🖐️ Dental Health Sensory Trays

We wrapped up our celebration with dental health sensory trays. Through hands-on play, children explored brushing techniques, learned about healthy foods, and practiced caring for teeth in a playful, meaningful way. Sensory experiences help reinforce learning while keeping everyone engaged and excited.

At AOMM, we love finding creative ways to teach important life skills. National Children’s Dental Health Month gave us the perfect opportunity to build confidence, encourage healthy routines, and celebrate those amazing smiles.
